The desert on the table is called the "Dysfunctional Family Sundae."  Messy, yes.  Tasty, yes.  Dysfunctional . . .  not quite.  The six spoons helped facilitate quite well.

does it make me feel good that the name of the "duck" we're riding on is the 'sitting duck?'

today, my co-worker tiffany and i went to this banquet honoring a few well-achieved women of note in DC.  now mind you, this is a $100 a plate banquet, with procedes from each plate and all the sponsors going to the YMCA for programming and such.  fantastic, right?  one of the sponsors donated their product as the table favors.  look closely beyond the decadent deserts and into the basket.  what was the prize inside the table favors?

no.  not flowers.  that's cans you see.  cans of food.  and not just any food, but Glory Foods' Seasoned Southern Style and Sensibly Seasoned food.  so, while we indulged in almond-encrusted chicken and mango salsa salmon, with a chinese vinagrette spinach salad and the deserts in the picture above, we got to look longingly at this beautiful can of country cabbage.  --->
