another moment in the anti-early holiday adventure . . .
at starbucks today, when the guy at the counter asked me if i wanted anything else, i said, "yes. i'd like to make a formal complaint to the manager about the holiday decorations. it's not even thanksgiving!" everyone on line smiled in agreement, and all three guys at the counter said they felt the same way. one said, "but at least we had halloween."

I've become practically scrooge-ish in my non-acknowledgment of the Christmas season until at least Thanksgiving dinner is cleared from the table!
